How horrible is it that I can barely remember what I did this past week? Over the weekend, nearly blank. On Sunday we made a 30 mile trek (one way) to buy a new coffee maker because ours went kaput. It was a durable little guy though and gave us many happy years for which we are so grateful. Rest in Peace Mr. Coffee. After that I worked in the greenhouse and on my vegetable garden plot for a little while.
Monday: missed posting Project Optimism; posted RAD #7 – Meatballs. went to a track meet and stood in the rain. Oh the things we do for our kids.
Tuesday: published A New Scrapbook Shelf and RAD #8 – Homemade Sweet and Sour Sauce, so I also made stir fry for dinner one of these nights
Wednesday: This was a crazy day that went surprisingly well. My friend came over to scrapbook in the morning. As soon as she left, I ran out the door to grocery shop (that’s a 70 mile round trip excursion) and I was back in time to pick my daughter up from track practice and take her to the chiropractor. Diagnosis: flat feet (we already knew) that are putting a lot of strain on her Achilles tendon Not Good. Back home, unpack groceries, make dinner (Good thing the BBQ cups were easy!)
Thursday: hubby home due to adverse weather conditions It has rained here every day this week since Sunday evening. Our area has so far seen only the good rain and moderate winds. Other areas nearby have severe flooding. We ran several errands today including 2 of those long round trips to replace equipment that was knocked out by lightning, but that meant that I got dinner out. Yay! I posted RAD #9 and Frustrated and Frazzled.
I also managed to get minimal housework done like vacuuming and laundry and I managed to clean only 1/2 a bathroom. That leaves me 1 and 1/2 to go. I am nearly finished with my dishes though. It’s always pleasant when I find my counter tops!
It’s Friday morning and here I sit trying to Refocus. I should be sewing, but wanted to get this done first. Let’s see what my “plans” are for next week.
Monday: Project Optimism: Trying To Be A Saint; RAD (?)
Tuesday: Paper Cuts: HS Scrapbook Finished; RAD (?)
Wednesday: Market Day: Vegetable and Herb Garden Plans (they’re awesome!); RAD (you get the picture by now, I don’t know what I’m cooking yet)
Thursday: Loose Threads: Quilt Show Recap; RAD
Friday I’ll be right back here doing it all over again! Later I’ll be writing down the details of my daily plans for the week and getting everything prepared so that I can accomplish them – hopefully and then setting up for the quilt show. Saturday I’ll be at the quilt show and Sunday is a birthday party for my father-in-law. I will try to get my recipes posted.
*My new plan is that Sunday is my day off from blogging so I won’t be posting a recipe that day or anything else for that matter.
Have A Great Weekend!

Well, you and me both! Your life sounds like my life in many ways… it is such a pleasant feeling to see those countertops… at least for a day, LOL! I’m just catching up on my reading blogs after a few hectic days! My other blog is listed in the sidebar of the blog you visit, but in case you don’t see it, it’s acherishedlife.blogspot.com and remember, I don’t get to post there as much as I’d like to! Cheers~

I agree. You are a really busy lady.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

I have all day to do these things. So many moms work full time AND do all that. I don’t know how they do it. I tried and couldn’t. I’m very lucky that I don’t have to work outside of being a wife and mom.

Good for you. You are indeed a treasure to your family. I’m retired and I keep myself busy as well.

Busy and active are good, they keep your body and your brain healthy. You obviously take time to keep your soul healthy also, so good for you. Thanks for the nice comments. 🙂

you are one busy girl – sounds like you really need your Sundays off – okay you have my permission (ha ha)
Gardengirl
Thanks so much! I am so relieved to have your permission. I’m really not any busier than any other mom, but I sure can make it sound good! 😉
