Happy New Year! I’m so excited to be starting this year. Well, it actually started about a month ago. I got to quit my job and start watching the grandbabies again. They are my heart, my joy. That alone is wonderful, but I also get to return to my quilt club. I can’t remember the last time I was at a regular meeting, before May for sure. Lynn, one of our members, will be teaching us a new block. It calls for either stripped pieces or striped fabric. I’m going with the striped fabric and have several options picked out from my stash. Now, I just need to narrow it down to one and a contrasting fabric. I may do a few from different fabrics and see which I like best.
Since the beginning of December I’ve also opened a booth in an antique mall to sell things I make and also some vintage fabric that I may or may not ever use. A friend and I went together on it and we’re hoping it pans out for us. It’s kind of expensive, but, hopefully, we’ll be able to sell enough of our items to make a little money to pay for the space and some craft supplies. Honestly, I hope it does, but I’m not so sure it’s the best choice for me. We’ll see I suppose. I was gung ho at first, but the financial aspect makes me very nervous even though I see the potential.
So there are a few of the changes in my life. I look forward to getting back to sewing and crafting more and also blogging about it.
Have a blessed day,
Julie
