Good morning! I hope you have been enjoying some nice weather like I have. This is my kind of winter…warm and sunny! Every morning when I take my pooch out for her walk I listen to the birds chirping and feel the warm, spring-like air and I can’t help but smile. The best is when a group of Sandhill Cranes flies over. I just love the noise they make even though a lot of people might think it is slightly obnoxious or annoying. No, not me, I just LOVE it!!! My daffodils are getting ready to bloom, all of my other perennials are starting to come up and turn green, even my trees are budding out. It all just makes me smile inside and out. Maybe a good way to describe it is it makes me want to spread my arms and twirl around with my face to the sky.
I’m also looking forward to my Sunflower Wreath Class that’s coming up next week. They are so pretty!
I don’t take credit for the idea or the picture above. As with most of my projects, I found it on Pinterest. Naturally, I can’t log in to my Pinterest account right now, so I can’t tell you who to credit, but I will find it and post it later. I fell in love with it when I saw it and just had to have a class. I love showing people how to make beautiful things and helping them get the confidence to try making things themselves. If you want to sign up for this class, just go to Flamingo and Owl and click going on the proper event. The evening class on the 16th is closed, but the morning class on the same day has a few spots left and the evening of the 21st still has about a dozen spots available. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for the date to finally get here! And I still have another whole week!
In the meantime, I made one for someone who wanted one with her initial on it, but didn’t want to make it herself. I think she should be the first one to see it though, so as soon as I deliver it I will post a picture. More anticipation! I hope she loves it as much as I do!
I’ve been keeping myself very busy. I have another class planned and all the supplies ordered already. You can just anticipate that post and picture….AWESOME!!!!! I also joined to groups doing weekly projects. One is quilt blocks and the other is simple craft sewing projects. I am also doing a block of the month class at a sewing shop in Highland. Yesterday was the first class and I already learned several things. I love learning as much as I like teaching.
If there are any senior soccer moms reading this, 3 of the quilts will be ready to be delivered this weekend and the next 3 will be ready the following weekend. My Abbey’s will be the last. More anticipation, as I don’t think all of you looked at the tops for the brief time that you had them. I think you’ll love them.
BUSY! BUSY! BUSY! I love it! It keeps me going and gives me a reason to get up off the couch!
Until next time,
Have a great day!
