Hello! It’s been a while…..again. I don’t know what my block is, but I look at my computer and I want to write, but I never pick it up and actually do it. There’s always something that’s missing, like a picture, or a project that isn’t done so I can’t write about it, which is all just silly, I know. So today I am writing about a couple of online “challenges” that I’m doing.
The first one is a National Sewing Circle Oh Sew Fun Sewing Challenge. The first project is some felt coasters that are really cute and probably easy. I’m not sure because I only got as far as buying the felt. My excuse is that I was working on the other challenge and some other projects that need to be finished. Truthfully, it’s probably because I’m spending too much time on Facebook looking at everyone else’s completed projects!
I did finish the first week of the other challenge I am doing though. It is a National Quilter’s Circle Quilt Block Challenge. The first block was Jacob’s Ladder which I had never done before. I got it done and it looks great! I’m ready for the next block! Maybe I should do a blogging challenge right along with the sewing challenges….
Yay! I got the picture! What a pain in the tookus! This is the first block that I made for the challenge. I had all the fabrics in my stash except for the tan background. These blocks are going to be what I do in between quilting and binding some other quilts and doing some crafts for classes and customers. It’s funny because on the Facebook group everyone is talking about what they are doing between blocks! For me, that was the quilting, binding and crafts!
I hope some of you join the challenges, or at least one of them! It’s a fun way to learn something new and see what other people are making too!
I think part of my blogging block is that I want to focus more on my business here than personal, but my business is sewing and crafts which meshes so much with my personal so I’m just going to have to learn to write about whatever I feel like writing about and just go with it for the day. My other challenge is pictures…even when I take them I can’t always find them on my computer because I take them on my phone and they don’t always transfer. I’m going to start considering that a challenge and a learning opportunity and figure out once and for all what I need to do to make it work every time and then practice so I don’t forget!
Enough about that. I added links to the two challenges if anyone wants to join in and, hopefully, there are some pictures in this post when I’m done.
Have a great day!
