I sold my first items at the local market! I haven’t been able to make myself sew this summer for whatever reason, but I have been making a lot of cards. After two previously unsuccessful attempts at selling items at the market, I finally may have found the thing! I sold 6 cards yesterday. A very small number I know, but considering that that was about how many people showed up during the 5 hours it was open, I’ll take it. It was fun setting them up to display and I even finished up about 3 dozen while I was sitting there. The people at the market are all so nice. I share a booth with my neighbor and friend who makes jewelry and does tie dye so there is always someone to talk to. Someday I’ll be adventurous and go out on my own. Yesterday, we were right next to the elephant ear and lemon shake up booth. Guess what I had for lunch. Good thing I ate healthy before I went! My nana and aunt and a family friend also came to visit at closing time and we had a good visit over dinner afterward.
I took a few pictures of the cards I had at the market, but I didn’t think to take any while they were set up for display.
I can’t wait to make more! I’ll be making more of all kinds of cards, but I’m going to start focusing on Christmas cards. I found out about several craft fairs coming up and the Christmas cards should sell really well. I’ve been thinking about setting up an Etsy shop too.
Have a Great Day!
