I was very busy with the quilt show and a few other family things so I didn’t get to finish Mike’s scrapbook yet, but I did get to go to Michael’s and get some paper……twice! The first day was an amazing deal. I saw their sales and daily deals on line and made sure I stopped on shopping day. I got 1
that’s 4, in case you weren’t paying attention, tablets of paper with 42 to 48 embossed sheets in each one, for $20. That’s $5 each! It was their Daily Deal and I happened to finagle (?) shopping day to coincide with that specific deal. Hooray! The regular price was $19.99 each! I also got some 12×12 plastic boxes for storing supplies and keeping projects separate for only $2.78 each, regular $8.99, which is a ridiculous price for plastic storage containers by the way. I was all smiles in the checkout line and happy with my deals and then I got a bonus! On my receipt, I got a special $5 off of a $5 or more purchase coupon! Of course, it wasn’t active until a few days later, but that was ok. I happened to know that we were going to be back in town over the weekend. Yes, ladies, I talked my man into taking me to Michael’s again. He even went inside with me. That’s the best part because he spoils me. I knew I wanted to use my coupon, but I didn’t know on what. I looked at the books of paper again, but they weren’t on sale anymore. He says, “You have a five dollar coupon, just get one.” Shock! I told him that I never pay full price, blah, blah, blah. Long story short, I ended up with a pack of rainbow cardstock with 100 sheets in it, and he paid for it! Wahoooo! Here’s my pretty cardstock stack.
Tomorrow is supposed to be scrapping day with the girls at our friend’s new scrapbook room. (Kids moving out can be great!) Hopefully, I’ll be able to go. There may be a schedule conflict. Booo. If I can’t join them I’ll just have to go it alone.
Oh yeah! I got new lights in my multi purpose room! They are like daylight….so amazing! I can actually distinguish colors now! Seriously, it used to feel a bit cavelike. I now have plenty of pretty papers to start #2 child’s graduation scrapbook. That’s all I have for today.
Happy Scrapping till next time!
