I have a picture of my Nana’s 90th birthday party to show an example of what I learned on my computer last week. It’s called AutoCollage and it is so fun. I made a whole bunch of collages from my pictures and saved them. Unfortunately, I can’t print them because they all have that line of writing at the bottom. I hope it’s not there if I decide to pay for the full version. In the meantime, I am having fun putting pictures together.
This week I also loaded some more recipes and receipts into my computer via my neatDesk scanner. The process is somewhat tedious so I can only do it a little at a time, but my paper piles are significantly diminished.
My friend Diana and I also visited some resale shops one day looking for a chest of drawers for her. She didn’t find one yet, but I found a lot of stuff that I had been looking for. Good day for me!
My current project is a quilt that I am making for my cousin who is getting married in a couple of weeks. I have only worked on it a couple of days, but it’s an easy pattern so it should be done in plenty of time. I am missing one piece of fabric so I will be off the quilt shop this morning to buy some.
On Friday and Saturday my mother-in-law came down to make our annual batch of relish. It turned out really tasty this year and we got 30 jars which is a new record. Our old record was 29. My family loves the tradition of Grandma coming down to spend the night and make relish. The house always smells so good for a few days and Grandma always brings AffyTapples for everyone. We usually don’t do this until mid to late September, but the vegetables were ready early this year. It’s the first year that we used fresh tomatoes from our garden. They not only taste better, but it saved us some money too.
Perhaps I will write again tonight and add some more interesting pictures.
